) Photo by Keith L. GravesThis photo of the Curve-bill was also taken March 17, 2001. It would appear the bird is saying "Are you looking at Me?" The Thrasher shows a tough-guy side to the bird world in our backyard. A couple of times I have saved a smaller bird from a "thrashing" which is lustily applied by that curved beak when a bird doesn't relinquish it's spot in the feeder to the Thrasher. |
